The Anti-Lurker Post

Howdy folks,

It has recently come to my attention that my blog has actually gotten some visitors! While this is admittedly thrilling on its own merits, it has gotten to the point where I must bitch just a wee bit. Why, I hear you asking? Well, in the interests of full disclosure, it is the LURKERS.

No, I’m not talking about those really annoying zits that grow and grow deep under your skin and never go away and never come to a head. Yes, those really suck, but those are not the lurkers to which I refer.

No, in the blogosphere, lurkers are those who read posts but don’t contribute to the discussion (or start one if it hasn’t been already). That is BAD.

I may have mentioned this a few times already, but dang it, please leave a comment, even just to say hi! Personal experience shows that just by doing to you will get links to your blog from mine, and plus you will totally make my day.

‘K Bye.

  1. Your post has excellent timing. The reason why I found this blog is because you took the time to comment on mine. I appreciate that and if you hadn’t I would not have found out about Plan A-lol.

  2. Hi Colin,

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I’m delurking!

  3. So am I a lurker if I have you as my homepage? See, Colin, you have superceded CBC News for me. I expect the news from your travels is more interesting.

  4. Wow! I never expected such prominence in your daily internet activities. Truly, I’m humbled, somewhat.

  5. Hey Colin,

I fully intended to lurk, but since you said I could just say ‘hi’, hi. Have fun in Bolivia.
